Battle For Goodness

Posted

To the Editor:

The Little Sisters of the Poor are fighting for religious liberty for every person in America. (CNY, July 23).

The Little Sisters are refusing to give to Caesar that which belongs to God—life from conception until natural death! If they were to sign on, the Sisters would be guilty of causing others to commit the deadly crimes against God and humanity of aborting babies and contracepting the gift of life. In short, they are refusing to tell others to do the evil they themselves will not do. The Little Sisters are not hypocrites! They live and love the Truth.

Do the Little Sisters have the millions of dollars the president and the attorney general are likely to demand of them if they don’t sign on their dotted line? No, they don’t. Will you have enough money, when the government demands payment for your religious freedom?

The government picked this fight, not only against the Little Sisters of the Poor, their employees and the elderly poor they serve; in the end, it is our own personal, family battle for God and goodness.
