Ceremony of Remembrance At Former Bronx Church Site

St. Augustine’s-Our Lady of Victory parish in the Bronx will mark its second anniversary as a united parish with a prayer service of remembrance and closure at the site of the former St. Augustine Church, Franklin Ave. and E. 167th St. in the Bronx, Saturday, Jan. 25, 1 p.m.

St. Augustine’s Church, which was closed due to structural damage, was torn down in the fall. The parishes of St. Augustine and Our Lady of Victory officially merged in January 2012. Father Thomas Fenlon is administrator of the parish.

A reception in the Spiritual Life Center at 1168 Franklin Ave. will follow the service of remembrance.
