Circus Through Eyes of Bronx Schoolchildren

Posted

For once, class clowns were praised for their antics as real-life circus performers taught students at St. Frances de Chantal School in the Bronx some tricks of the trade Oct. 2. From high-flying trapeze acts to practicing their balance to learning how to juggle, the 300 students were shown how to be bona-fide entertainers. One of the daring highlights of the daylong event was learning how to eat fire—safely. After a morning spent learning different tricks, the students then put on their own circus show in the afternoon to the delight of all.
