Holy Week at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

The schedule for Holy Week at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, March 29-April 5, follows:

• Palm Sunday, March 29: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate the Blessing of Palm and Solemn Mass at 10:15 a.m. Masses will also be offered at 7 a.m., 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.; noon, 1 p.m., 4 p.m. (in Spanish) and 5:30 p.m.

• Reconciliation Monday, March 30: The regular weekday Mass schedule applies. Additionally, confessions will be offered on this Reconciliation Monday from noon to 9 p.m.

• Tuesday, March 31: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate the Chrism Mass at 4 p.m. Confessions will be heard from noon to 2 p.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be offered in the Lady Chapel from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The weekday Mass schedule remains in effect.

• Wednesday, April 1: The weekday Mass schedule applies. Confessions will be offered from noon to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be held at 6 p.m.

• Holy Thursday, April 2: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 5:30 p.m. Adoration before the Repository will be offered until midnight. Additionally, Mass will be celebrated at noon. Confessions will be offered from noon to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

• Good Friday, April 3: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate the Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death at 3:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be offered at 6 p.m. by Msgr. Robert Ritchie, cathedral rector. Msgr. Ritchie will also preside at Tenebrae at 9 a.m. Meditations on the Seven Last Words will be provided from noon to 3 p.m. by Father James Martin, S.J., editor-at-large at America magazine. Confessions will be heard from 8 to 9 a.m.; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m.

• Holy Saturday, April 4: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate the Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m. Confessions will be offered from noon to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

• Easter Sunday, April 5: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate Mass at 10:15 a.m. Masses will also be offered at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 8:45 a.m. and noon; 1 p.m., 4 p.m. (in Spanish) and 5:30 p.m.

(Where applicable, regular weekday Masses will be celebrated at 7, 7:30 and 8 a.m.; noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 and 5:30 p.m.)
