Our Lady of Lourdes High School senior swimmer Matt Bosse signed a national letter of intent April 23 to swim for Iona College.
Bosse, who will study business administration at Iona, was the team captain and Poughkeepsie Journal First Team All-Star in 2015, 2014 and 2013. He began his swimming career as a freshman at the Poughkeepsie school.
Bosse finished 10th in the 100-meter backstroke at the state meet this year, breaking his own school record, and 13th in the 200 individual medley. He was also a member of the 200-medley relay team that set a new school record while finishing 17th.
“Matt is our go-to guy,” said Lourdes assistant coach Art Boyko. “Iona will be a better institution for having Matt on the team. He excels in the water, always looking to get faster, and he excels in school, consistently being on the honor roll.”
