Sister Carol Olson, O.S.C., took her first vows May 3 at the Poor Clare Monastery, Wappingers Falls. Sister Mary Michael Boisseau, O.S.C., abbess of the monastery, received her vows of profession.
Father Roch Ciandella, O.F.M, celebrated the Mass of profession. It was attended by Poor Clare nuns from several communities, Franciscan friars and secular Franciscans as well as by Sister Carol’s mother and two sisters.
Before entering the monastery from Malden, Mass., in 2010, she worked in the health and human services field.
