On behalf of The JoyJ Initiative, I would like to thank Catholic New York for shining such a bright light on the work that we do for our less fortunate brothers and sisters who live on the streets of this marvelous city. Juliann DosSantos wrote the piece (CNY, Nov. 24) in such a way that it brought tears to my eyes, and the pictures were subtle, yet powerful.
Father John Duffell, the administrator of Blessed Sacrament parish, mentioned Catholic New York and the article at his Masses. We hope that others will have a desire to commence a chapter in their parish because of your wonderful work in describing The JoyJ.
The writer is vice president of the JoyJ Initiative.
