Cardinal Dolan welcomed Archbishop Elpidophoros of America at a luncheon in his honor Sept. 4 at the Cardinal’s Residence in Manhattan. The cardinal later led the recently installed spiritual leader of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in a tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Archbishop Bernardito Auza, the Vatican’s permanent observer to the United Nations, offered a brief prayer in the cathedral with many representatives of Catholic, Orthodox and other churches present.
