Eleven Priests Celebrate Silver Jubilees

Eleven priests of the archdiocese are celebrating their 25th anniversary of priesthood this year. They are Msgr. James T. Byrnes and Fathers Robert F. Ashman, Mark J. Connell, Vincent T. Euk, Lino Gonsalves, John M. Knapp, Michael J. Morrow, Jose G. Piedrahita, Father Leo Prince, Father Joseph P. Tierney and Father Leonard Villa.

Eight of the jubilarians were ordained by Cardinal O’Connor in St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Nov. 15, 1986, after studying for the priesthood at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie. Two others were ordained in their native countries, where they studied for the priesthood, and a third was ordained for a religious congregation; all three were later incardinated into the archdiocese.
