Greeting With Smile

Posted

A few weeks ago I sent you a letter inviting all readers of Catholic New York to “reach out and touch someone.” I was given the privilege and opportunity to reach out and touch someone, and I did. Following Holy Mass celebrated by Pope Francis at Madison Square Garden, the pope was processing out of the Garden. As he passed my seat, I reached out and touched his hand. Pope Francis smiled, I smiled, but the FBI agent did not.

I am blessed. Truly this holy man, this Successor to St. Peter, was sent by God to gather the scattered and lost flock and bring them back to the Shepherd, Christ Jesus.

Remember to smile when you reach out to touch someone.
