All people, born and unborn, have equal human dignity. But we must never equate the effort to stop lethal violence against innocent children in the womb with efforts to promote social justice for those who are born. The National Socialist Party in Germany exterminated millions of Jews in the Holocaust. Should we overlook that abomination because they (presumably) promoted other social programs? What an enormous scandal that in a country that is 30 percent or so Catholic, we allow the slaughter of 3,000 children a day.
