Holy Week Mission at Suffern Parish

Sacred Heart parish in Suffern, which celebrates its 150 anniversary this year, is sponsoring a Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, March 30.

An outdoor Procession of the Cross begins at 5 p.m. on Orange Avenue and Route 59 and concludes with the Living Stations on the church grounds, 129 Lafayette Ave, and a Passion Play.

Father Glenn Sudano, C.F.R., will preach throughout the parish’s Holy Week Mission, which carries the theme “Journey of Faith from Here to Heaven,” including all Masses on Palm Sunday, March 25. A talk, “Following Jesus to the Father,” will be given on Reconciliation Monday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. Confessions will be offered from 3 to 7:30 p.m. and after the talk. The talk on Tuesday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. is “Obstacles Along the Way,” and includes a Eucharistic healing procession and confessions. “The Eucharist, Food for the Journey” is the focus of the mission’s closing Mass at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28.
