The “Love and Responsibility” speaker/concert series kicks off on Tuesday, June 13, at 7:30 p.m. and will run through Aug. 1. Set in the courtyard of Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E. 14th St. in Manhattan, young adults from all over the city are invited to gather, pray and connect with one another through a shared vision for responsible ways of relating intimately with one another. The series is based on the principles of Pope John Paul II’s landmark book by the same name and examines the interconnectedness of the human person, human sexuality and the role of marriage.
The series, which has amassed a considerable following over the past seven years, is sponsored by the Archdiocese of New York’s Office of Young Adult Outreach, and will feature weekly speakers discussing specific topics concerning love and intimacy in the digital age.
