Pastor, Three Administrators Appointed to Parishes

One pastor and three administrators were named to parishes in the archdiocese, the Cardinal’s Office announced.
Father Joseph Fallon will become pastor of St. Gregory Barbarigo, Garnerville, effective Dec. 1.
Father John Anthony was named administrator of Holy Name of Jesus, Valhalla, effective Nov. 5, and Father Jonathan Morris was appointed temporary administrator of Our Lady of Refuge, the Bronx, effective Nov. 11. Father William Muhm will be administrator of Most Precious Blood, Walden, effective Dec. 1.

PASTOR
Father Joseph Fallon has been pastor of Most Precious Blood, Walden, since 2007. He was parochial vicar of Immaculate Conception, Tuckahoe, 2002-2007, and St. Joseph’s, Middletown, 1996-2002. The native of Suffern was ordained in 1996.

ADMINISTRATORS
Father John Anthony has served as temporary administrator of Holy Name of Jesus, Valhalla, since June. He was administrator of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Poughkeepsie, 2013-2018. He served as parochial vicar of Immaculate Conception, Tuckahoe, 2011-2013; St. Clare of Assisi, the Bronx, 2010-2011; St. Barnabas, the Bronx, 2000-2010; St. Joseph, Millbrook, 1997-2000; and St. Teresa, Staten Island, 1996-1997. He was ordained in India in 1991 and was incardinated into the archdiocese in 2005.

Father Jonathan Morris will remain pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Bronx, while he serves as temporary administrator of Our Lady of Refuge. He has served since 2015 as pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where he previously was administrator. He was program director of The Catholic Channel on SiriusXM satellite radio for three years, and was parochial vicar at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, 2009-2015. He was ordained in Rome for the Legionaries of Christ in 2002 and was incardinated into the archdiocese in 2015.

Father William Muhm has served as a chaplain for the U.S. Navy since 1998. He was parochial vicar of Holy Family, Staten Island, 1996-1998; and St. Ann, Ossining, 1995-1996. Born in Billings, Mont., Father Muhm received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and served in the Navy for four years before he began studies for the priesthood. He was ordained in 1995.
