The 36th annual Way of the Cross/Way of Peace across Manhattan will be offered on Good Friday, March 30. Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, executive director of archdiocesan Catholic Charities, will lead the opening prayer.
The prayer procession, organized by Pax Christi Metro New York, begins at 8:30 a.m. at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, across from Holy Family Church on East 47th Street between First and Second avenues.
The Stations of the Cross devotion commemorates the torture and crucifixion of Christ. Those who are suffering throughout the world today are especially remembered during the Pax Christi procession.
