Search for Longest-Married Couple in the Archdiocese

Posted

With World Marriage Day 2019 coming up on Feb. 10, the search is under way to find the longest married couple in the Archdiocese of New York. The annual celebration honors the vocation of marriage and family life around the world.

The Catholic couples must be living in the Archdiocese of New York and be married for 65 years or more. Together, these couples exemplify the best of the sacrament of holy matrimony.

All couples who enter and qualify will receive a commemorative certificate from Cardinal Dolan. Catholic New York will also publish a feature article about the longest-married couple.

The longest-married couple will be determined by the length of a couple’s marriage on World Marriage Day.

Entries should include the couple’s name, address and marriage date (month, day, year), as well as the contact information for the person making the submission. Please send the information to Joan.brisson@archny.org or call the Family Life office at (646) 794-3188. The deadline for entries is Thursday, Jan. 24, at 5 p.m.
