“LR9: 1957,” a multimedia art exhibit memorializing the group of nine black students who entered a segregated high school in Little Rock, Ark., in 1957. The exhibit runs through Aug. 3 at the Sheen Center’s gallery, which is open daily 9 a.m.-11 p.m.

“Festival of Catholic Playwrights” includes the following events (RSVP requested):

An opening presentation Thursday, June 21, 7 p.m., features excerpts from and discussions with Catholic theatre companies in New York, including Turn to Flesh, Xavier, Magis and Storm.

Staged reading of “El Coqui Espectacular and the Battle of Doom” by Matt Barbor, directed by Melissa Crespo, Friday, June 22, 7 p.m. Journey of young Puerto Rican comic book artist in New York.

Staged reading of “The December Man” by Colleen Murphy, directed by Kathy Gail MacGowan, Saturday, June 23, 7 p.m. Tale about a Montreal family struggling with grief after a suicide and mass shooting.

Staged reading of “The Merry Widows of Windsor” by Emily C.A. Snyder, directed by Chris Rivera, Sunday, June 24, 2 p.m. Sequel to Shakespeare’s “Merry Wives.”
