Sister Ann Connolly, O.P., who was principal of St. Margaret’s School in Pearl River for 20 years, died Nov. 12 in Montifiore Hospital in the Bronx. She was 84.

Sister Ann was principal at St. Margaret’s, 1972-1992. She also served as principal of St. Luke School, the Bronx, 1968-1972, where she was a teacher, 1955-1962. She taught at Cardinal Hayes High School, the Bronx, 1993-2002, and St. Dominic School, Blauvelt, 1954-1955.

Sister Ann served at St. Raymond Academy for Girls, the Bronx, from 2003 until her retirement in 2011. She then volunteered at St. Luke School and Siena House, the Bronx, until her death.

Born in the Bronx, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt in 1951 and professed final vows in 1956.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Dominican College, Blauvelt, and a master’s in education from Fordham University.

Her brothers, James and Patrick, survive her. A Funeral Mass was offered Nov. 20 in St. Dominic’s Convent, Blauvelt. Burial was in St. Dominic’s Convent Cemetery.
