Sister Dolores Vitale, M.P.F., who was a teacher in Manhattan, died Dec. 19, at St. Joseph’s Hall, Morristown, N.J. She was 85.

She taught at St. Ann’s School in East Harlem, 1961-1963, and 1964-1966.

She also taught at schools in Brooklyn and in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

She also served in pastoral care ministry in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She retired to St. Joseph Hall infirmary at Villa Walsh in 2008.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she entered the Religious Teachers Filippini in 1949 and made her final profession in 1953. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Notre Dame College, Cleveland.

A Funeral Mass was offered Dec. 23 at St. Lucy’s Chapel, Villa Walsh, Morristown. Burial followed at Ave Maria Cemetery.
