Sister Elizabeth Donahue, M.M., a Maryknoll Sister for 65 years who served as a missioner to the Philippines, died Jan. 10 at Maryknoll Sisters Home Care IV in Maryknoll, Ossining. She was 89.

She taught at Maryknoll College in Quezon City, the Philippines, 1953-1965.

She served on the faculty of Mary Rogers College, 1965-1970.

She served the congregation as central personnel director, 1970-1973, and as director of enrollment for Maryknoll School of Theology, 1974-1989. She served in the congregation’s mission awareness office, 1948-1953.

Born in Waterbury, Conn., she entered Maryknoll in 1948 and professed final vows in 1954.

She held a bachelor’s degree in social science from the College of William and Mary, a master’s in social psychology from Ateneo de Manila University and a doctorate in educational psychology from Fordham University.

A Funeral Mass was offered Jan. 14 in Annunciation Chapel at Maryknoll Sisters Center, with burial in the Maryknoll Sisters Cemetery.
