Sister Margaret Angelovich, S.C., who served at St. Paul the Apostle parish in Manhattan for 10 years, died March 19 at Mount St. Vincent Convent in the Bronx. She was 83.

At St. Paul the Apostle, Sister Margaret was pastoral associate, 1974-1980, and school principal, 1970-1974. She was a spirituality facilitator for adults, 2001-2012, and an educational consultant in theology, 1999-2001, both in the Bronx and Westchester. In the Bronx, she was a mentor in the Fellowship Program at Fordham University, 1994-1999; served as a guidance counselor at St. Raymond Academy, 1989-1994; did vocation ministry at the Sisters of Charity Center, 1983-1989; and was director of special programs at the College of Mount St. Vincent, 1980-1983.

She also taught at St. Barnabas Elementary School, the Bronx, 1962-1965; St. Mary, Staten Island, 1958-1962; and in Brooklyn.

Born in Yonkers, she entered the Sisters of Charity of New York in 1955 and professed final vows in 1964.

She received a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of Mount St. Vincent, a master’s in American history from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.; and a master’s in theology from Fordham University.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated March 25 in Mount St. Vincent Convent Assembly Room, the Bronx. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers.
