Sister Patricia Ann Reilly, O.P., who served at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill for 30 years, died June 8 at Siena Hall in Sparkill. She was 96.

Sister Patricia was a professor at St. Thomas Aquinas, 1969-1999, where she also served as interim president, 1988-1989.

She served at St. Helena’s High School, the Bronx, 1954-1969 and 1941-1946; Aquinas High School, the Bronx, 1952-1954; Cardinal McCloskey School, White Plains, 1946-1952; and St. Agnes Home and School, Sparkill, 1940-1941.

She retired to the Dominican Convent in 1999.

Born in the Bronx, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill in 1939 and professed final vows in 1945.

She received a bachelor’s degree in history/French from Manhattan College, and master’s degrees in English from Manhattan, and in education from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She earned a certificate in administration/supervision from New York University.

She is survived by her sister, Sister Eileen Reilly, O.P., and her brother, Thomas.

A Funeral Mass was offered June 16 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel in Sparkill, followed by burial in St. Agnes Cemetery there.
