Sister Rosaleen Hanley, O.P., who taught at Corpus Christi School in Manhattan, died Jan. 27 at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa, Wis. She was 83.
She was a teacher at Corpus Christi, 1958-1962. She also taught in Illinois and Alabama, and was a principal in Washington, D.C.
She served in the Diocese of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, as a teacher, 1962-1967, and then as a pastoral minister, 1979-1986 and 1989-2002.
Born in Chicago, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, Wis., in 1949 and professed final vows in 1954.
Her sister, Therese Panzica, survives her. A Funeral Mass was offered Jan. 30 in the motherhouse chapel. Burial was in the sisters’ cemetery.
