Stamp of Approval

Posted

It’s an annual Christmas tradition in our house, as important as decorating the tree and attending Mass.

We enjoy Chris Sheridan’s stained-glass Nativity photos so much that we are convinced they would make lovely religious Christmas stamps.

Each January, we send the first page of the Christmas edition of Catholic New York, with photo credit, to the United States Postal Service’s new stamp suggestion bureau. Hope springs eternal that one year Mr. Sheridan’s work will be chosen for a new stamp.

Of course, our family’s most treasured Chris Sheridan photo is the one he took of my parents, Andrew and Velma, as they received their 50th anniversary certificate in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in 1991. God Bless, Mr. Sheridan.
