As reported in the December 16, 2020, edition of Catholic New York, in keeping with the practice of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith involving all allegations of improper conduct with a minor, the case of the Reverend Louis Anderson, a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, was referred to the Congregation for its review; the Bronx district attorney was also notified. The allegation against Father Anderson was subsequently investigated by the Bronx District Attorney’s Office and the allegation was recanted. The Congregation recognized that the Archdiocese of New York determined that the allegation was manifestly unfounded. Father Anderson remains on administrative leave.
