Volunteers Sought for ESL, Citizenship Classes

Registration is under way for the Project L.I.G.H.T. spring semester of free English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship classes serving immigrants of all nationalities in the Southwest Yonkers and Northwest Riverdale community. Classes meet at Mount St. Vincent in the Bronx on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. from mid-March through mid-May.

The classes are sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of New York. To inquire about becoming a volunteer teacher, to refer students or to make an appointment to register for classes, contact Eric Rosenbaum at (718) 549-9200, ext. 260, or erosenbaum@scny.org
