Without Remorse

Posted

I am terribly disappointed to find out that Cardinal Dolan will be participating in the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump on Jan. 20 (CNY, Jan. 5). President-elect Trump has exhibited racist, misogynist and xenophobic behavior. He is anti-immigrant and was a leader of the “birther” movement to delegitimize our first African-American president.

I understand the Christian principle of walking among sinners, but Trump has shown absolutely no remorse for his actions or even an ability to repent for past transgressions. I hope the Cardinal will reconsider.

I am a little taken aback by the comments on President Trump. We are all sinners and in need of mercy and prayers. I do not know if President Trump has no remorse, as I do not know if Clinton has no remorse for her sins. Only Christ knows. I am very proud of Cardinal Dolan for participating in the inauguration of President Donald Trump. As we enter the 100 anniversary of Fatima let us all pray for President Trump and an end to abortion. May The Catholic Church, the bride of Christ, and the light of the world continue to guide and protect all GOD'S people.
