The Academy of Mount St. Ursula in the Bronx thanked donors at an event Sept. 19 for contributing $844,085 for capital improvements made to the school building that began over the summer.

The donations helped replace the gymnasium roof, windows and blinds throughout the building and add new vending machines. The school will also replace the fire alarm system and front door and clean the brick façade.

Mount St. Ursula, founded by the Ursuline Sisters in 1855, is a college preparatory and Catholic high school for girls in grades nine through 12.
