Cardinal Dolan Prays for Healing and Protection

Posted

Cardinal Dolan visited three shrines March 21-22 and prayed privately for healing and protection in the coronavirus pandemic plaguing New York City and State, the nation and the world. The cardinal yesterday visited  the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Stony Point, administered by the Salesians of Don Bosco, and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, administered by the Carmelite Friars. Today, he visited the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Shrine in Manhattan, administered by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

At each shrine, the cardinal prayed for people who are sick with the virus, for the doctors, nurses and caregivers who are tending to the ill, for our leaders and for those working to find a vaccine and a cure. He also remembered people suffering as a result of the current global economic slowdown, especially those who have been laid off or furloughed.
