Deacon Michael Hall

Deacon Michael Hall, who served as a permanent deacon and director of religious education at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Catharine parish in Pelham Manor, died Nov. 11. He was 67.

He was director of religious education at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for more than 30 years.

Deacon Hall also administered the sacraments of baptism and marriage at the parish.

Cardinal Dolan ordained Deacon Hall at a Mass in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in 2016.

Born in New Rochelle, he served in the U.S. Army. He earned a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Iona College, New Rochelle.

His brothers, Joseph, James, Francis and Thomas, and his sister, Theresa Dunkel, survive him.

A Funeral Mass was offered Nov. 14 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment was at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, New Rochelle.
