I cannot agree more with your editorial regarding the increase of value of City FHEPS vouchers. As an affordable housing and homeless services provider, these vouchers are a crucial tool in getting families—typically young mothers with small children—into permanent housing, permanently.
Here’s another Christmas wish for the housing insecure: Mayor-elect Adams provides the financial and political tools that city agencies need to build more housing for those in New York City who are most in need. The city’s nonprofit partners are ready for the challenge: I hope and pray the incoming administration is too.
