Francis Daniel Le Vert Coleman, who served in leadership roles at the Leo House in Manhattan for more than 50 years, died March 7 at his home in Crestwood. He was 94.

Le Vert Coleman was a longtime board member at the Leo House, a nonprofit Catholic guesthouse for travelers that historically gave European refugees their first welcome in the United States. He was actively devoted to his Catholic faith.

Born in Cologne, Germany, he attended the University of Cologne, Germany, and Columbia University Business School, Manhattan.

His wife of 69 years, Ingeborg; son, Daniel Thomas Le Vert Coleman; and daughter, Eliza Augusta Coleman, survive him.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated March 14 in Annunciation Church, Crestwood. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville.
