Msgr. Emmet Nevin, dean of Rockland County, administered a blessing for the annual Blessing of the Soil event of Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland (CCCSR). The April 30 gathering was in a garden being prepared at its Haverstraw site. Staff and volunteers oversee the growing of fresh vegetables for families and individuals who access the food pantry. This year’s theme is “From Seed to Supper.”
