Cardinal Dolan will preside over an Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service for Remembrance and Recommitment at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 9:30 a.m.

Auxiliary Bishop James Massa of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, executive vice president of the New York Board of Rabbis, are among the religious leaders scheduled to participate. Mayor Bill de Blasio will also be a guest speaker.

Catholic school students from the archdiocese and the Diocese of Brooklyn will serve as ushers and read the intercessory prayers/petitions.

Two formerly homeless people, who completed the Life Experience and Faith Sharing Associates program in New York City, will also give short talks. Life Experience and Faith Sharing Associates, a nonprofit organization founded in 1986 by Sister Dorothy Gallant, S.C., and Sister Teresa Skehan, R.S.M., assists individuals in extreme poverty with physical aid and spiritual support.

The prayer service is open to the public.
