Protecting Creation

Following Pope Francis' proclamations in Laudato Si’, the UN Climate Conference (COP26) coming Oct. 31 through the first two weeks of November, and the World Peace Conference (Oct. 15-17), it is imperative Catholics strive to protect our home—Creation. The U.S., along with other nations already possessing nuclear weapons, has failed to sign the U.N. Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. An extraordinary number of other nations have signed the treaty. Challenge your elected officials to join a stance for peace now and in the future. Demand that our country also follows through on actions to save Creation through its actions affecting the environment, as we also act in our daily lives to respect the environment and one another. Urge our elected officials, as we also act inclusively, to work for the benefit of all.
