Sister Ann Catherine Klaus, M.M., who served in Tanzania for 33 years, died Aug. 4 at Maryknoll Sisters Center in Ossining. She was 92.
Sister Ann was in Tanzania, 1995-2012, 1991-1992, 1979-1983 and 1964-1975. She served at Maryknoll, 1983-1986 and 1975-1979, as well as Tanganyika, Somalia and Kenya. She retired to Maryknoll in 2012.
Born in Marion, Ohio, she entered the Maryknoll Sisters in 1947 and professed final vows in 1953.
She received her bachelor’s degree in education from Rogers College, Maryknoll.
Her brother, Francis, and her sister, Patricia, survive her.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 10 in Annunciation Chapel at Maryknoll. Burial was in the Maryknoll Sisters Cemetery.
