Sister Mary Anthony, O.P., who served for 17 years at homes in the archdiocese for patients with terminal cancer, died Aug. 6. She was 90.
Sister Mary was at St. Rose’s Home, Manhattan, 1982-1991 and 1963-1968, and Rosary Hill Home, Hawthorne, 1960-1963. She also served in Atlanta; Cleveland; Fall River, Mass.; and St. Paul, Minn.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne in 1960 and professed final vows in 1967.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 9 in Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Hawthorne. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
