Sister Mary Lusk, P.B.V.M.

Sister Mary Lusk, P.B.V.M., a teacher in the archdiocese for seven years, died Feb. 20. She was 92.

Sister Mary taught at St. John’s, Goshen, 1965-1967, and St. Frances of Rome, the Bronx, 1950-1955. She was chaplain at St. Agnes Hospital, White Plains, 1998-2001.

She also served in Queens, Brooklyn, Port Jefferson, New Jersey and Louisiana.

Born on Long Island, she entered the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of New Windsor in 1948 and professed final vows in 1953.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Fordham University, the Bronx.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 23 at Mount St. Joseph, New Windsor. Burial was in Mount St. Joseph Cemetery, New Windsor.
