St. Thomas Aquinas College to Induct Hall of Fame Class Jan. 25

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Alumni Association will induct five alumni and two recipients of the Spartan Award into the Alumni Hall of Fame at the Park Ridge Marriott in Park Ridge, N.J., Friday, Jan. 25.
The alumni inductees are:


Sister Patricia Broderick, O.P., class of 1963, is a medical professor at the City University of New York and NYU Langone Medical Center. An inventor and researcher, she is the author of more than 300 articles in medical journals.

Sister Barbara Wright, O.P., class of 1969, has been an educator for more than 50 years and has served as assistant principal of Salesian High School, New Rochelle, since 1988. She previously taught at Salesian; Our Lady of Grace School, the Bronx; Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale; and St. Vito, Mamaroneck.

Kristen Sullivan, class of 1990, is the head coach of the St. Thomas Aquinas softball team and has been connected with the program for parts of four decades. As a player, she pitched seven no-hitters, including the program’s only perfect game.

Scott White, class of 1991, is a certified public accountant and executive director of financial planning at KPMG. He serves as a mentor to St. Thomas Aquinas students and a panelist at the college’s annual School of Business Fall Accounting Forum.

Joanne Loniewski Favata, class of 1981, is director of alumni relations at Ramapo College in New Jersey. She was director of annual giving and alumni affairs at St. Thomas Aquinas, 2007-2017. A member of the college’s alumni board, she began the alumni travel club at St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Spartan Award, which will be presented to the Sisters of Charity of Halifax and Aramark, is awarded to non-alumni for their support of the college. Aramark provides dining and custodial services on campus in Sparkill.
