Yonkers St. Patrick’s Parade Returns March 19


The 65th Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, at 1 p.m., on McLean Avenue in Yonkers. The parade will follow an 11 a.m. Mass in the St. Barnabas High School Chapel.

Patricia Donovan McCrudden will serve as grand marshal for the first St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Yonkers since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ms. Donovan McCrudden, who has served the parade in various roles for 56 years, married Larry McCrudden in 1965 and they have three children and seven grandchildren. She belongs to Sacred Heart parish in Yonkers where she’s a member of the Blessed Father Solanus Casey Prayer Group, and she volunteers as a Eucharistic minister at St. John’s Hospital in Yonkers.

Father William Cleary, vice rector and professor of Scripture at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, will serve as an aide to the grand marshal.
