For the second time in less than a week, St. Patrick’s Cathedral was the site of a Funeral Mass for a member of the NYPD who died after being shot in the line of duty. Cardinal Dolan offered the morning Mass Feb. 2 for Det. Wilbert Mora, who was posthumously promoted to detective first-grade by NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell. Thousands of police officers again turned out, lining Fifth Avenue for blocks in solemn tribute to their fallen colleague.
