Cameron Young, a 2015 graduate of Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, was named the 2021-2022 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
“It’s a very special one historically, given Arnold Palmer’s contributions to our game and the list of names that have been able to take this home is very cool, and I’m very thankful to be a part of it,” said Young of winning the Arnold Palmer Award as the tour’s top rookie in an interview with the Golf Channel.
Young completed the 2021-2022 season with five second-place finishes and two third-place finishes in 25 events.
In September, Young helped Team USA defeat the International team at the Presidents Cup.
PGA golfers will be competing Nov. 17-20 in The RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Ga.
