CELEBRATE—Members of the Archdiocese’s burgeoning Ghanaian community wave their national flags to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day during a joyous and colorful Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church in the Bronx March 6. The Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Dolan, was organized by the combined Ghanaian congregations of Christ the King parish and St. Margaret Mary parish both in the Bronx with the support of the Archdiocesan Office of Black Ministry. The Ghanaian Catholic community in New York is one of the largest and best organized in the country, with a multitude of ministries.
