Sister Regina Callahan, O.P., who taught at Our Lady of Refuge School in the Bronx for three years, died Dec. 5 at St. Dominic Villa in Hazel Green, Wis. She was 93.
Sister Regina was at Our Lady of Refuge, 1960-1963. She also served in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
Born in Chicago, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa in 1953 and professed final vows in 1958. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Edgewood College, Madison, Wis., and a master’s from Marquette University, Milwaukee.
Her sisters, Helen Buck and Dorothy Muscia, survive her.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 14 at the motherhouse in Sinsinawa, Wis.Burial was in the motherhouse cemetery.
