Brother Kevin Barry, C.F.C., who served at Iona College in New Rochelle for many years, died July 13. He was 74.
Brother Barry also served at Rice High School, Manhattan, 1978-1980, and in New Jersey.
Born in Tralee, Ireland, he attended Power Memorial High School in Manhattan before entering the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1962 and professing final vows in 1972.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Iona College, and held two master’s and a Ph.D., all from Columbia University in Manhattan.
His brothers, Michael and Daniel, survive him.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated July 19 in Holy Family Church, New Rochelle. Burial was in Christian Brothers Cemetery, West Park.
