Sister Marlene Louise Condon, M.M.

Sister Marlene Louise Condon, M.M., who served in Chile for 33 years, died Oct. 9 at Maryknoll Sisters Center in Ossining. She was 89.

Sister Marlene served in Chile, 1984-1997 and 1960-1980, where she was a parish school nurse, public health nurse and vice president of the congregation. She also served in Missouri and Guatemala.

Born in Montevideo, Minn., she entered the Maryknoll Sisters Novitiate in 1955 and professed final vows in 1963. She earned a nursing degree from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minn.

Her brother, Frank, survives her.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 13 at Maryknoll Sisters Center. Sister Marlene donated her body to science.
